We work across Bedfordshire and nearby areas, specialising in traditional lime plastering and lime pointing, using local sands, horsehair and non-hydraulic lime slaked here in the village of Oakley. We're happy to take on big or small jobs, from whole houses to minor repairs such as patching, repairing cracks, limewashing and more.
Lime plastering using traditional hot-mixed non-hydraulic lime. Lime plaster can be applied onto lath, directly to masonry, or breathable boards.
Repointing work including raking out decayed existing mortar where needed, mortar matching, and repointing using non-hydraulic or natural hydraulic lime where appropriate.
We are more than happy to undertake restoration work to bring existing historic fabric back to life. Small repairs are commonly needed and we understand how difficult it can be to find a tradesperson for such jobs.
