About us
Hi! I'm Jamie. I founded Station Road Lime after buying a solid-walled Victorian home and struggling to find tradespeople who knew how to work with old buildings - or those who were willing to!

I started out with repointing before moving onto lime plastering, and became slightly obsessed with the wondrous characteristics of lime. I learned initially through trial and error in my own home before working on friends and families' houses. I went on to complete a professional course in lime plastering in Gloucestershire with Carrington Lime before deciding to set up Station Road Lime to fill the gap in lime specialist work in Bedfordshire.

As an owner of an old home who has learned by doing, I understand the challenges faced by people struggling to get the right information about their homes and the difficulty finding a specialist who won't just throw cement at the problem.

I'm always up for a chat about lime, old buildings, conservation and restoration - so please get in touch!
