We specialise in lime plastering and pointing, using local materials including locally sourced sands and horse hair from Bedfordshire stables. We're more than happy to take on smaller jobs that can be difficult to find a tradesperson for - just get in touch and we'll pop over to see how we can help.
Lime plastering using traditional hot-mixed non-hydraulic lime with sand, perlite or hemp depending on need.
Full rooms, patching repairs or cracks.
We'll remove decayed or inappropriate existing mortars and replace with breathable lime and sand. A mortar-matching service is available to blend in with the existing material as closely as possible.
Surface finishes
Breathable walls need breathable finishes. We can apply limewash or distemper or advise you on how to do it yourself and the right products to use.
Lime putty, mortar and plaster
We can provide small quantities of lime-based products including lime slaked in Bedfordshire and pre-mixed plaster or mortar. Mortars and plasters are made to order.
